Dear Instructor, Athlete, or Country Representative,
On behalf of the WIKF Netherlands Board of Directors, I am pleased to invite you to attend the 2006 Wado International Karatedo Federation’s European Championships to be held in Schiedam, Netherlands October 7 and 8, 2006!
Please note; not the whole schedule is in the letter, but later this year, everything will be on the official website: WIKF Nederland.
The European Championships is not just a tournament, but an event. We are planning an amazing schedule with two days of seminars, a day of meetings and information sharing and two full days of competition, ending with a farewell party. The seminars, Thursday October 5 and Friday October 6, will be European class, taught by the most respected and senior instructors in the world, with demonstrations from extremely talented practitioners. We will be holding the 2006 European Congress on Friday October 6, bringing all the European WIKF countries together to discuss the strong future and success of the WIKF. Each country is asked to provide two representatives to the European Congress.
The Event Headquarters is in the 4 stars Novotel hotel in one of the oldest towns of Holland. I encourage you to make your arrangements to stay at this very good hotel. The meetings and registration will take place at this location. We have worked out a great discount price that includes breakfast and dinner during your stay. The Novotel hotel is convenient for travel into Rotterdam.
The European Championships is a time for all WIKF students to come together, assemble, build friendships, train and of course, compete. Holland has a lot to see and offer and we look forward to hosting you!

Novotel Hotel, Tournament Headquarters, Hargalaan 2, 3118 JA Schiedam (250 meters from the sporthall).
The organisation made a very good price with the Novotel (55 euro) and the Ibis Hotel (45 euro). Both including a very good breakfast buffet and dinner buffet.
Novotel: each room has a 1 and 2-person bed. So the room can hold up to 3 people. The hotel is near the railway station Schiedam Nieuwland which can take people to downtown Rotterdam in just 10 minutes.
Ibis Hotel: 45 rooms have 2 single beds and 25 rooms with two-person beds.
There is a 20 euro surcharge if you want to make reservations for a single person in one room.
People who have own transportation are asked to make reservations at the Ibis Hotel. People without transportation are asked to make reservations at Novotel. All reservations are made directly with Joop Weeland.
!!!!!!!!!!! I think we have a very good deal with the hotels, but I have to make the reservation before September 1 2006, after that date the hotels will rent the rooms to other people, and normally the hotels are very busy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
